How to Recreate Dread from Roblox Doors! 2/10 đźź©

Hello, gimkitters! It’s me, Landyn, back with a new guide! It’s been a while since the last time I posted a guide, so I’ve got TONS of ideas for new entity mechanics. And one of these is an entity that you may have NEVER heard of: Dread. Now, Dread’s an interesting fella. He was originally a secret entity with no badge, modifiers, just if you wanted to spend a full HOUR (insert OH_MY_GODDDD.exe) AFK in a room, then you were rewarded with…nothing!
Thanks to the Mines update, Dread now has an official badge, along with his respected modifiers. And instead of waiting a full HOUR (insert OH_MY_GODDDD.exe) you only have to wait 10 minutes!


So, grab your alarm clocks and start the countdown, we’re uncovering the ticking time b0mb of recreating Dread from Roblox Doors! Of course, El Goblino will be here to clear things up.

Methodology

Step 1. So, you’ll already need a setup for how you’re going to create the rooms. Really the only thing you’ll need for this one is that every time you open a door, it transmits on “Open_Door” and when you, enter a room, transmit on (wait for it!) “New_Room!”

Step 2. Grab the counter and set it’s target value to whatever you wish. Just have it be REALLY high, since this is in seconds. I had the target value be 600, aka 10 minutes. When target reached, transmit on “Spawn_Dread.” Increment counter on “Second_Passed,” and reset on "Open_Door.

Step 3. Have a trigger well, trigger AND activate when receiving on when receiving on “New_Room” and deactivate when receiving on “Open_Door.” Have it transmit on “Second_Passed,” and have it’s delay be 1 second.

P.S. I know that having both the “Open_Door” channel AND the “New_Room” channel will seem a little silly, but it’s for the special rooms, like Seek Chase, Library and Door 100, because Dread can’t spawn in those rooms.

Step 4. Have a trigger that activates and triggers when receiving on “Spawn_Dread,” deactivate when receiving on “Open_Door,” transmits on “Dread_Attack,” and set the delay to 10 seconds.

Step 5. Have the respawn the player when receiving on “Dread_Attack.”


P.S. If you have a Guiding Light system, don’t follow this step.

And you’re done!

Oye, you! C’mere! Yeah, you! Look at all dis nerd mumbo jumbo. I thought I taught Landyn how to explain things better…oh, well. Looks like he needs me to save his bum yet again.
Basically, when you enter a room, the trigger activates, and every second, it increments the counter. Tick, tock, tick, tock… When the counter reaches its target value, ANOTHER countdown starts. But this time, it’s for how long you live…you better leave that room fast, or else its lights out for you! Tick, tock, tick, tock… Oy, what’s that noise? Tick, tock… Oh, no! I spent too much time helping Landyn! Dread’s here! AHHHHHH!
