How do you make thumbnail and attach them to the actual thumbnail slot?
There are lots of guides on making good thumbnails, use the search bar or create a thumbnail request! To upload it, go to options > publish > upload.

Just do exactly what @targaryen1387 said.
Head to your map Settings. Click Publish. Click Continue. Make sure you’ve leveled up 50 times in Gimkit and have 1k Gimbucks or have the season ticket. If you do, you should be able to click continue.
From there you’ll be asked to fill in your map name, description, educational rating, and thumbnail.
Please make sure your thumbnail is appropriate for the type of map you’ve made such as a screenshot of your map or a thumbnail you or someone else made. Once you’ve checked that your thumbnail is an appropriate for your game, click upload and select your thumbnail image.
