How to make Low Memory Security Cameras (with Popup failsafe and Picture Instructions)

I make the cameras by using the “Camera Point and Pop-Up Devices”. This is a simple and low memory way of making security cams. I used this for my friend’s “CocoaCupforhours22” Among Us Map. Even though this technique is more like FNAF, anyway here are the steps,

  1. Place a button in your security room. Make the Text anything you want, I suggest Open Cams, or if you want to try to copy Among Us exactly I suggest putting “Use”. Turn Off Visible to the Player as well.
  2. Place a Pop-Up. You see when you close the Pop-Up you are stuck in Cams. So, you can create a failsafe. I will show you how to do this in step four.

Now, make the Pop-Up a banner, make the heading text a warning saying not close the pop-up, then go to Call to Action in the pop-up, make the primary one the name of what you want the other cam to be, and the secondary one “Exit Cams”.

Then connect a wire from the button to the pop-up. Push “When button pressed” and “Open Popup”.
  3. Place a Camera point in the room you want people to see. Connect a wire from the button to the camera point. Push “When button pressed” and Activate camera point".

Now connect a wire from the pop-up to the camera point. Push “Secondary call to action clicked” and Deactivate “camera point”. (I suggest testing the game and giving your new camera a test run.) [This is Part 2 of Step Three.]

4. Make a failsafe. First, place a wire repeater. (I suggest placing it in the main area (Cafeteria In Among Us), or beside the pop-up.

Connect a wire from the pop-up to the repeater. Push “When popup closed”. [This is Part 2 of Step Four.]

Connect a wire from the repeater to the camera point. Push “Deactivate camera point”. [This is Part 3 of Step Four.]

We will do process similar to this again in a later step.

5. Copy and Paste the same popup and camera point and place them at another spot you want people to see. Don’t forget to change the name of the primary call to action to the location of the area!

Connect a wire from the original popup to the second one. Push “Primary call to action clicked” and “Open popup”.

Connect a wire from the original popup to the second camera point. Push “Primary call to action clicked” and “Activate camera point”.

Now repeat part 2 of step three. "Now connect a wire from the pop-up to the camera point. Push “Secondary call to action clicked” and “Deactivate camera point” ", and repeat part 3-4 of Step Four with the second popup and camera point.
6. Rename all popups to “Closing this popup will also close cams.”
(I suggest giving the map a test run.)

If you change the Pop-Up to be non-closeable by player then you do not need the wire repeater. (Suggested by “IDK”.)
If you want MORE cams, just repeat step 5! If I am missing anything please let me know!

I think this is a great tutorial, keep it up!

This topic is temporarily closed for at least 4 hours due to a large number of community flags.

I will be mass force-editing all of your posts to show “(post deleted by InkyDarkBird)” because mass flagging clearly isn’t working that well because the system keeps reactivating.

I just cleaned up a massive amount of flagged topics on this topic. (too many off-topic posts)

Great guide overall! I would like to mention there is a setting on the popup to disable closable by player, considering the text on this popup.
