Are you tired of making 50 if blocks and dragging numbers like this?
Well, your fingers are gona need a break, so time to scroll down, read, be amazed, then do this in your own map! The great thing is, ITS SHORT!
Materials
1 x Triggers
10 x Fingers (At least) 1 Braincell. (I seem to lack that…)
Steps
Step 1
Get those fingers ready.
Prep those Braincell(s)
Step 2
Create a new block. I am using a trigger.
Step 3
Set a variable to a random integer from x → y
Step 4
Add a broadcast on channel block.
Step 5
Make a create text with but with only one item.
Step 6
Put rng at the end of it.
Step 7
Now, what you want to do is make all the devices that responds to this rng trigger be a random number from x → y
How this works
Basically, you broadcast on the channel “(a random number)”
and other devices will respond to a random number.
Thanks for reading! @Txme_Lxss gave me most of the idea, so credit to Txme for having MULTIPLE
braincells!
Also credit to @Slim for having the same idea too!
Anyways, y’all got the concept of it.
Though something I want to share with y’all is
@wingwave showed me this ENLIGHTENING topic, and i really want you guys to read it.
It goes a lot more into depth about making easier block code, and concise code.
lol.
In order to make sols rng, you are going to need a more complex system than this
ill make another topic talking about the advanced one. i want this one to be solely for the basic one, i dont want it to be more complicated.
The worst fact is that everyone (of the new users, that is) thought it was super complicated. That was because Zypheir made the idea. It really isn’t, and people can finally see that now with a different, newer user. Yippie? It’s not even new, too. He just thought of putting it in the Gimkit blockly format.
I mean, like look at this guide.
It’s perfectly awesome. Unfortunately, anything above a paragraph or 10 steps is difficult for the average forumer (heck, I’m sure a few of y’all aren’t even reading this reply), so they say, “Nice!” or “I wonder how this will make new things in Gimkit!” and such. When they see this guide, it’s far less detailed (no offense, it’s short and sweet), so they’ll read it and get the concept. Mysz, Blackhole, and Zypheir’s guide gives far more useful information than this one, yet it’s neglected.
That’s why I don’t like this community as much as a maturer one.
True, i am gona read the entire thing.
Do you want me to delete this?
Or are you fine with me posting this more concise version thats a bit more begginer friendly.
Nah, it’s fine. I think you should just link the original post to the end. Say something like, “You’ve got the basics! Now it’s time to get in-depth.” or something like that.
