How to make a speed boost ability with a Cooldown! (3/10 difficulty)

Materials

1 checker
2 triggers
2 speed modifiers
1 property
1 game overlay

Speed Boost System

first you want to place down a Game overlay and have its settings be this

(I have the visible on start set to off because there’s multiple characters in my game, this system doesn’t need it to be off for it to work)

(THIS PART IS REQUIRED! it needs to have its visibility ( and content scope if this ability can be used by multiple people) TO PLAYER!) then you make a checker and set the settings to this

Next make a property and set the settings to this

Now we go back to the button and make 2 sets of block code!

then we make 2 triggers
set one of the triggers settings to this

and the other to this

next make 2 speed modifiers
set one to be set up like this

and the other like this

and then you are done! its all set up!

How it works

When you click the button, the checker does a check to see if the ability is still on cool down (done so that you cant use the ability while its on Cooldown by clicking the button) if it finds its off cool down the ability activates making you have 1.65 speed for 8 seconds and a 23 second cool down!

Looks cool, but I wonder what does it even do when it does not even contains a speed modifier.

this is my Power battles game, I’ll show you the speed now

first we click on the game overlay (it disappears after clicking), after which the timer starts (5 seconds) after the 5 second timer ends, the 15 second timer is activated (recharge) after that you can use the speed again (the game overlay appears again)

i didn’t hide the button after using the ability because i plan later to make it so you can see how long until you can use your ability again.

there are 2 options here, 1 you can just make a message “recharge in 15 seconds” using Game overlay, 2 is more complicated. you will need to make a timer in Game overlay so that it counts down 15 seconds
