Maybe you should do something with a trigger clock, instead of repeater.

the difference between a speedrun timer and a normal timer is that speedrun timers count up to allow you to see how fast you went and timers count down

they don’t even count tenths of seconds

Once again, people want to be negative. Try to change something that isn’t theirs.
Just because they are proved to be useless, (allegedly, nothing else says that besides some words on a topic, which is opinionated and sometimes factual) doesn’t mean they can’t use it.
Maybe they had no other way to do it.
