How to make a dashing system (Difficulty: 🟩 or 2/10)

Let me try to make it clearer!

Overlay 1: Button, Says DASH
Overlay 2: Text, Says COOLDOWN [YOUR COOLDOWN NUMBER], Hidden on Game Start
ALSO MAKE SURE THESE ARE NOT GLOBAL SCOPED
Trigger: DELAY [YOUR COOLDOWN NUMBER]
Wire Repeater: NO DELAY 2x

Overlay 1 → Overlay 2: Button Pressed → Show Overlay
Overlay 1 → WR 1: Button Pressed → Pulse
WR1 → Overlay 1: Pulse → Hide
Overlay 2 → WR 2: Button Pressed → Pulse
WR2 → Overlay 2: Pulse → Hide
Overlay 1 → Trigger: Button Pressed → Trigger
Trigger → Overlay 1: Triggered → Show
Trigger → Overlay 2: Triggered → Hide

The first overlay is the button right

@cyco398 Look up

Why not global scoped?

So that everyone can do it on their own pace. If it is global, the overlay button will change for everyone

Global will hide it for everybody

What I just said… Seriously, do users not read posts before they reply?

When did a second wire repeater come in…

I didn’t see it, sorry, sorry.

Now im twice as confused. Was I supposed to have two wire repeaters and a trigger this whole time @Blizzy

Think i got it rn

Nvm
What the trigger hooked up to @Blizzy

Wait now the cool down doesn’t disappear

Yes i fixed it.

Good job! Sorry, I’m making a Hunger Games map, wasn’t on :+1:

Good luck with that

Well, just wire it to a speed modifier that is “normal” speed…

Bump, I think this is useful.

I was making a blox fruits map and made a dash system then go on the forum to help ppl. I find this… It took way to long when I was making my own

Wait what??? You gotta publish that map soon… I can’t wait to play it…

Is there a simple way to make it so whenever you dash it takes energy?

You can use the movement meter device. Please create your own topic on it next time.

I Bumped so hard into this guide while using the dashing system!
