How make a time stop in gimkit(almost)

first to and foremost this works in platformer and top down so dont worry about that.the materials we are going to need for this are

materials needed
  1. 1 barrier
  2. 1 or 2 game overlays or button
  3. 1 notification
  4. 1 zone
  5. 2 speed modifer
  6. 1 repeater sadly :frowning:
  7. wire maybe?

which is all we need, so first we need to use a barrier for this, and you may be asking why well this is because there is this little bug(I think) where if you spawn or are in a barrier you can move but not any projectiles with gadgets which is useful since if we “time stop” it should be like a safe zone.(which yes I know you can do it with a zone but please let the barrier get more use(wait its technically better for memory  )

step 1

So first thing you would want is a barrier covering where you want it to stop same with the zone and add a channel to the zone or wire to make the speed modifier set there speed to 0(this would make everybody freeze though including you).

step 2

With that make the zone and the barrier not appear at the start and only appear with the button pressed or game overlay (remember set the game overlay to button and play scope since if its global bad stuff could happen) ok.Now we also have to set up the button and the overlay which(we don’t need both) to add a channel that starts the zone and the barrier.

step 3

Now we wont be able to go back to a normal state thats why we have the other speed modifier, and repeater sadly, we set the repeater to do its thing( how many times) and make it run for (how many times) seconds which in this case is four. Then make the repeater send a channel or wire to the zone to deactivate it same with the barrier and also another speed modifier to set the speed back to normal which is 1  .

(optional) step 4

Now with that we can use the notification to do some fancy stuff like making the notification appear when that game overlay or button is used. The notification can say anything though  .

Now if you have read the guide time to say why I said “How make a time stop in gimkit(almost)” well this is because if you use the “time stop” while you are in the air you will fall and also how the “time stop” won’t stop the timer, and lastly how this method this pretty inefficient since the barrier would actually be kind of useless and also how the barrier in the editor would have collision so it would be pretty annoying to edit around

Now just for the fun of it also its like 1 through 10 ok so like 1 is 1/10

You should add pictures

But wouldn’t the time freeze be better if you used an uncloseable popup? Then you cant click overlays, drop items, end game, fire gadgets

oh you actually got a point
