How do you make one person on a specific team?

Does anyone know how to make one person on a certain team? I tried using relays/lifecycle to switch everyone to a certain team, and then relay/lifecycle ‘random person’ to a different team, and that still usually doesn’t work. Does anyone know how to do it so it works every time?
