How do you add dialogue without the season pass?

I wanted to add some dialogue to my game, but I don’t have the season pass. Is there any workaround?

Yeah, use popups and CTAs. Set the popup to “banner”.

Yeah, there is a workaround. You can link a popup to a button next to a passive sentry and have it come up when the button is pressed.

There is an easy work around, if you have any friends that has the ST, you could ask them to place it down for you to edit. Or you could go to the Discord or Wixsite and ask people there to help place it down for you.

If talking to a sentry, what I do is use popups! Add a popup and set it as banner. You can add the text of what they will say and your call to action will be what the player will say. You can wire another popup to it so it will have the NPC saying something related to it. If you want the sentry not to harm players when they are talking to it, you can get a barrier device, and make it’s opacity 0. Then, turn off borders. You are gonna place this exactly around the sentry. Now it can’t hurt you!
Okay, now you need a button. This allows the player to walk up to your NPC and see an option to talk to it. Make this invisible. The button should say “Talk?”. When pressed, it can lead you to the first popup when talking to the NPC.

CTA stands for Call to Action. You can find them in popups. They’re the little buttons that you can press.

if you want to add dialogue without the season ticket all you have to do it add a sentry and cover it with a invisible barrier (so it cant attack anyone during a FFA game) and add a invisible button near it, then wire the button up to a popup with the banner style and hopefully you know how to use a popup so i wont have to state it (also pls mark this as the solution if it helps you)

Or, you can ask a person you know that has the season ticket, and place the dialogue device for you. You can copy it anytime.
