How do I make a player counter? (total number of people played my game)

I know there is a lot about this topic, but can someone please elaborate and make it more specific? Maybe some screen shots? More specific please, I don’t understand what other people are saying…

As InkyDarkRaven said, you can’t do this. The only way to see the amount of people who played your game is if you published it and check it’s stats, you can’t do it in game.
