Hiding item image behind terrain issue

Hi, I need help with my Gimkit map. I am trying to put an image of an item on my map, but it needs to be behind terrain. I already tried to use the layering invisible props or barriers and none of that worked. Please help

There should be an option in the layering menu to put it behind terrain.

How are you putting the image on

I looked and i couldn’t see that in the layering menu

terrain can be layered when you put it down maybe try to put it on the last layer

If your game is platformer you can layer terrain but it isn’t possible on top-down.

I tried both an item spawner and item image, and it is top down

Then you cant layer it unless you go to map settings and make the background the terrain you wanted

sadly it isn’t possible, but we can find an alternative!
What are you trying to make/do?

I am trying to make a laser tag map and you need 5 keycards to open a door. I want to hide them just like one way out, but i need to hide them behind terrain

Im pretty sure you can deactivate item images, you can have them not active on game start.
Activate them upon a channel.

They must be always active, just partially hidden behind terrain. Just wondering if i could do that. Last resort i could hide them behind a prop

You can use something like moss or dirt to hide it then.

You could use barriers designed to look like terrain, if ya want.
Those can layer, right?

You could suggest it on the nolt–

I think they can, but they must be visible, and i am working with cinema carpet

I wish we could upload photos to gimkit. Then i could put it behind that. :slightly_frowning_face:

Also just have to give credit to anyone who sees this, bakedpotato’s solution was amazing aswell

I know this has been solved, but I was able to put both devices (item image and item spawner) behind terrain. Maybe you can try checking your settings and layering to see if everything is right.

I hope this helps!

Edit: Sorry, ig I’m bad at reading. Just noticed you said your map was top-down. Then, it may not be possible with this method.
