I know there are guides on this but I looked at them and they didn’t help so… Here I am! For my game I am making the leader of the evil plants (from One Way Out) called The Mother. She is kind of like a Kraken made from vines so I wanted her to have an attack where she slams all her tentacles down and one where she spawns like 5 evil plants to help her. I also wanted to slowly shrink the arena so attacks would be harder to dodge. If you think you can come up with other achievable ideas please share them, because I need more… Thanks! Also when helping please add step by step instructions because I’m a noob.
My I idea is u black the players screen then when it flashes green they need to press an overlay

Okay but how would I achieve that I’m new to gimkit creative so…
give me a second to show
Get a barrier

(you can go to all options to find these settings)
Next get a trigger
Set this to how long untill the screen get blanked
Then wire trigger to barrier
Now copy the black barrier and make it green
TIP (Make sure the barriers are layer ABOVE)
Now copy the trigger and set a time before the screen flash green
Then wire our first trigger to the new one we made
Then take our new trigger and wire it to the black barrier
Then take new trigger and wire to green barrier
Then make an overlay

Now make copy one of the triggers AGAIN and make it the set time to dodge
Then take the second trigger and wire it to overlay
(This will make the button show up)
then get a damage device
Then take the second newest trigger and connect it to the new trigger
Then take the newest trigger and connect it to the damager
Then take the overlay and connect it to the newest trigger
Then test it
THE PLAYER MUST STEP ON THE FIRST TRIGGER FIRST DONT LET THEM HIT THE OTHERS
What should happen is when the green one shows the dodge button shows if they don’t press they take damage if they do press they don’t

So put the trigger they step on next to or on top of the “BOSS” so when they get close they have to do that

Yeah but like ik what u mean coding wise like why is this happening what is the boss doing causing this to occur like lets say the boss slams down tentacles in game, players hit by tentacles take 30 dmg or smth
its like the boss saying BACK AWAY
(this can also counter the glitch where u stand on sentry and it don’t attack u)
Okay like if ur really close or smth that makes sense thank you! Gonna wait for others to share other ideas and how to do mine before closing so I can actually do this. And ok good to know on sentry. Finally I know to hide the triggers and stuff

For the ‘slowly shrinking the arena’ mechanism, you could have a trigger loop running every second that increments a counter (basically a clock), and every half a minute or so some invisible barriers are activated that in effect make the area smaller. (You could change the times to something else if you wanted to.)

Everyone, this is a bump and also would it be possible to have sentries attached to the boss’s tentacles that move so it can do like an attack where its spinning around and the sentries are rapidly shooting at you. If so please tell me how to do it (step by step with images please)
