Help making Quicksand

I would like some help trying to make quicksand, where the longer you stay in it, the more damage you take. I think maybe stepping over triggers might work, but I wanted your ideas

use the poison fog guide, or like you said, when player steps on triggers, they get delt damages, that or you could use inviable lasars than deal slow damage.
