Hola I am also a religious person but I don’t mention it online here because it can start fights. I’d appreciate if you did the same. There’s nothing stop with being religious and being proud of it, it’s just generally a good idea not to mention sensitive subjects like religion just to try and make sure fights don’t start.

Depends on the framing. Death is a part of life (okay well you know what I mean haha) and it’s important to talk about. Like a sensible memorial is fine.

yes, he’s correct. religion could cause some disruption in the forums and could offend some slowflake person in discovery.

To weigh in here, even to someone who’s not Catholic, Pope Francis’s death was sad. Sure, a lot of the things he did were motivated by/enabled by his religion and position, but his actions can stand apart from the church. I think as long as you try to focus more on maybe accomplishments/ideals and less specific religion stuff you should be fine.
