Health and Energy Gaining

So in my game you lose sprint for sprinting “uhhh colton duhhhh” and when the hunter hits you you lose health “uhhh yeah ok and?”

Well i dont want players wasting all their sprint just to gain it back after walking for some time and i dont want players to also get health with med packs or something so im looking for some ideas or ways players could get more health or more energy without it just regenerating.

Kind of like rocket league where there’s boost energy around the arena.

Instead of being triggered by gadgets fired it can be triggered by sprinting and you could extend the delay/

Ideas for health regen:

• a machine that regens you but the hunter can see your location if your near the machine
• Bandages, its like a medkit but it only slows you down and heals you only about 20 health, (maybe a pickup item)

Ideas for stamina regen:

• maybe you get a small amount of stamina if you go below a certain amount of health (similarly to forsaken)
• you can only regenerate stamina if your a certain distance away from the hunter (so you can’t regen mid chase)

You could add energy bar pickups on the ground that people can grab and get energy.

Im confused, You said it refills energy… why not just turn off the refill…

got an idea for stamina

the player will click an overlay and take a break
player cannot move for 5-10 seconds (ur choice), but recovers their stamina
