randomly I went to edit my parkour map but then half of it was gone. I saved and everything it was like a month of work gone outta no where. Has this happened to anyone else?
The same thing happened to a lot of people, this occurred to me couple months ago, which result in all my devices and props being deleted, with only terrain remains.
I would suggest to email hello@gimkit.com because this has been happening to a lot of people.
Welcome to the forums, by the way.
welcome to the community @TheTurtle yes this can happen due to bad internet autosaved failing or someone who just wanted to troll and ruin your map (ps this has happened to me someone hacked my account before so i recommend if this happens to change your password quickly if you get hacked)
Same @TheTurtle I got u The same thing happened and can happen because of bad intere, auto save not working and hacked and this problem does happen rarely, but it possible and if someone hacked contact hello@gimkit.com or change your password right after and i hope ypu fix or make a new one!
I posted about this before too, but people kept saying it’s my device. Check your gimkit status or your storage. It might be reverting back to older stages. Do you use the save button?
It’s probably unlikely someone hacked your map, going through all this trouble for a gimkti game.
This happened to me before…[1]
Try refreshing
Go on another device
Maybe going in the map on another device would refresh the device you lost your work on
Maybe it’s your internet
Maybe you’re on a school chromebook
Other than that I don’t think that you can really get your work back
Best way to avoid this in the future is to hit the save button each time you leave your map
I lost weeks and weeks of confusing block code that actually worked somehow ↩︎
Just in case if auto saved stopped
and lose my map ;( but yeah i use the save @AlienPizzaParasite Use this Gimkit Status
I’ve had this happen to me too, and it’s quite unfortunate so sorry that you had to deal with it. Check your internet connection and periodically manually hit save to save your map. (sometimes the auto save might not save for some reason so it’s best to make sure you’ve saved your work.)
