About a platformer category.
Yes, I do like the idea of that on paper, however, it’d also be super pay to win.
When platformer becomes free, sometime next month, yes, there will be an influx of maps made with platformer physics, and there will be a lot in the months there after, but platformer physics will end up having been a paid feature for longer then a free feature by the time that the gimkit awards end up happening, so I’d feel kinda bad for everyone who didn’t pay to get platformer physics.
TLDR; Platformer category would be kinda pay to win, but I’d be down for it for 2026 gimkit awards.
Games that use a team system can qualify group games, but there are other games that can qualify. For example, I think there was a remake of flipswap factory where the swap button and scope of the platforms was global, and I’m pretty sure there was a DLD game where everyone was linked together, so if 1 person fell, then everyone got respawned. Can’t remember the names off the top of my head.
yes, yes, moderator, yes, twoforsixeight, but uh, he’s gone for thanksgiving break, so you’ll all just have to wait a week. Or I’ll just move along and make the next topic. Most likely the latter, to be honest.
oh yeah, I was already going to talk with twofour when he got back about that, thanks for the reminder, now, all you need to do is just do that again like every 3 hours until he gets back so I can actually remember
Less so then others, seemingly.
Oh, yeah, of course. This post already served it’s main purpose of getting the team put together, every gimkit awards post will be a place where people can ask us questions if they need clarification on things involving the gimkit awards.
So… Time to move on? Yeah, let me get started on that new post…
