When I test my map in Gimkit Creative, I often have friends play it with me. Twice now, a friend has left and I kicked them from the game. This is because my game uses a player counter, which requires all players to have pressed a button to start the game. However, both times, neither the player counter nor the leaderboard updated for a non-negligible amount of time, even though the player was kicked and their gim was no longer in the game.
Prolly lag maybe. We all know that Gimkit has problem with lag. But, just to clarify, you’re saying that when you kicked the player, you game didn’t resist are the player as kicked from the game?
did you read the post? it is 100% gimkit related.
again, this issue is gimkit related
I’d suggest emailing team gimkit about it as that’s probably the only way to get this looked at.
Yes, the player was definitely kicked on their (and by extension, Gimkit’s) end.
Hmm…well I have no solution besides contacting Gimkit and as long as it’ not gamebreaking, it’s fine.
Thankfully, it’s not that gamebreaking. After a while, it is registered that the player left.
Thanks for the advice, that’s actually why I posted this!
I’m not going to mark a solution yet, since the problem isn’t solved.
Do you mean “left” as in they have closed/shut down their device, and their gim was still in-game?
If so (and even if not), I think that the “registering players” glitch you’re having may be the same kind of thing-- Gimkit taking a bit to process something that has happened in a different part of the game. Just standard “Oh, wait, this happened, gotta update that” lag, 'specially if you’re testing a high-memory or high-lag map.
I didn’t mean both types of lag are directly connected, just that the system might be having a similar checking problem. Glad to hear that kicking is working okay, though :]
Yes, they closed the tab. However, after that, I kicked them from the game, and their gim disappeared. (As for the high-memory part, my map is at 67% memory, which could potentially be a contributor to the problem.)
