Entity ability ideas for Your 'Average' Tycoon (YAT)

Hello gimkitters [1]

I am starting a NEW TYCOON GAME that 100% not average (why does it say your average tycoon then?) there’s ‘’ on average, so it’s quote of quote average

So what’s different? one word
HORROR
that’s right… A scary tycoon, so how is this gonna work out?
Right now, there are 4 entity types, and 7 entities, each type has two entities except for the deadly entity [2] that only has one

What are the entities so far then?
Well let’s sort them

Friendly Entities


These guys are 100% safe to be around, and will only help the player in a certain way

Docile Entities


Entities that will hurt you, but without a will, the harmful entities are controlling them (mainly one of them though)

Harmful Entities


Harmful entities want to hurt you, want to corrupt you into a docile, especially The ‘New You’ the creator of the realm, The ‘Shrine’ is what mainly controls the dociles though

Deadly Entities

N/A no ideas

Now, I have ONE entity I’ve made the ability, which it’s for The ‘Player’
It will spawn in and hide around the map, near your tycoon of course, but it will have four messages


Message : get out
Meaning : take a break from the game, and go to reality, because The ‘New You’ is about to attack


Message : prepare yourself
Meaning : your about to be attacked by The ‘Shrine’ get gadgets and defend your tycoon and yourself


Message : Hide, Now
Meaning : the deadly entity is coming, (so I’m gonna need help with this one, make your idea for how to survive the deadly entity if you make the deadly entity


Message : Sorry
Meaning : they just wanted to check up on you, and see how your doing


Yeah… That’s a lot huh now, that’s all he does, so if your going to make an ability, make sure it fit’s the scheme of the game mechanics of the others aswell, so if someone makes a cool idea with The ‘Shrine’, probably follow it if your doing a docile entity

here’s a possible concept design for the deadly enemy:


ignore the zappy in the corner that’s for something else lol
it’s the “avenging angel”
it’s mechanical-- the lil dots are things that sentries have

Okay, so this is what I think:


The Shrine is an ancient life-form originating from a distant planet. Its sole purpose is to hunt down the player [1]. The Shrine can manipulate the docile entities. Now, as for the docile entities, they’re basically players [2] who’ve been corrupted by either Shrine, The ‘New You’, or both. Wheaped had been bitten and poisoned at the leg (hence the missing flesh + wings) and Exposed was, uhh, skinned.


I’ll come up with more ideas later. Check back soon after I do my homework play Forsaken

How about the absorbed helps you get money, by increasing production when it appears.

You could create a bunch of clones of the exposed, and they like, raid your base (Or just appear around the map. Knocking them out gives you cash, but they will not hesitate to attack you.)

ooo me shall try this >:)
Absorbed: Will occasionally absorb some of your money from the money making thingy. This goober will help the player by absorbing dmg from other entities.
Wheaped: Every time you get dmg from it a poison/decay effect gets placed on you dealing dmg over time until it goes away.
Exposed: Being near it will cause it to give radiation and will also make you take dmg over time until it goes away.
Shrine: Summons docile entities to do its work (kinda like worshipers)
New You: Can create stuff from thin air (not really) Its also very op for some reason and can tp to other locations.

Name: The ‘Obliterated’
Ability:
Obliterative Technique: Mass Obliterate-A aoe move that one shots anyone in its range but it has a long windup so you should be able to get out of range before the windup finishes.
Obliterative Technique: Beacon of Obliteration-A small beam of black falls from above dealing 3/4 of your health and has a shorter windup than Mass Obliterate.
Art: None(coming soon possibly)-Because I am doing this at night but it looks like a fully black gim with white dots here and there (like a snowfall pattern) and has big scribble like censorship around the face area of the gim .

Alright… I’ve seen more good ideas
Though I’m 100% not using everything you said HappyGoose, since I want others to get a chance (I have already implemented the radiation for exposed)

So if anyone else has any ideas, please let me know :D

The Wheaped:

It will advance upon you, dealing damage if it touches you.
It does not go aggro unless you sh00t it (by that I mean if you sh00t it to keep it away from you while it’s advancing, then it will start sh00ting back + dealing poison damage (which means, if it hits you when sh00ting and/or touches you, you start taking 10 damage every second for 3 seconds)

Lore: hmm. It was a player, like you, who went to work in this tycoon game as it was poor and had no real means of earning money. (And as such not armed)

It was desperate, but weak, and the Shrine took advantage of that, giving it power in exchange for their will.

Idear for deadly entity :3

Malshrine (ignore whatever reference(s) you have in mind)
A terrifying entity that all other entities are afraid of. In fact, bo9th The ‘New You’ and The Shrine are afraid of it, and Player doesn’t even want to warn you that he’s coming (he’s too afraid, scaredy cat >:{). His presence is signaled by a dark could forming over the map. You have to take cover behind designated boxes or smth before he rains down firey hecc over everyone. If you’re caught outside, you’re done for.

ik this is slightly lazy but I don’t have any gud idears. I’m not in my prime anymore (/▽\)

The Deadrun
Basically just the tank from Left 4 Dead but instead of throwing random rocks, he will charge at you really fast while throwing props in his way. He will only leave if you act Dead and he will enter when everything in the tycoon disappeared (before it appearing again after he leaves)

Summary

Alright, since people have just mostly been making the deadly entity concept… So I’m gonna choose 1

Firstly, the one that 100% isn’t gonna be chosen cuz seems to hard to be coded by my smol brain
Happy goose’s (Obliterated)

So that leaves with 3 left… Next one I feel bad for denying (Because it had the art, I may still use the art though)
Baked potato’s (avenging angel)

Which now it’s just goat’s and roberta’s… So the one I’m gonna be choosing (because it fits the scheme on the text the most) is…

Friend Entity
Name: The Grenadier Regiment of Foot Guards
These guys will form 2 ranks (line formation tatic) and fire at any enemies that try to attack you. The only way you could get these fellows is buying them in one of slots (if there is any) in the tycoon. They cost 100 cash and can only bought once.

Friendly Entity
Name: Bell UH-1 Iroquois aka Huey (helicopter)


The helicopter would once in a while, check on the players to see if they’re safe. If there’s a entity which is going to attack the players, one of the helicopter’s crews will fire at the entity with a machine g#n (each round lasts 30 seconds + there is limited ammo) if the machine g#n ran out of bullets, the helicopter was forced to retreat and will return after a long time.

Deadly Entity
Name: Sky Dweller
Once this entity appears, the whole sky will turn red with a lot of humongous eyes staring down. When it appears, immediately go inside your base or you’ll be pulled up into the sky. After you return in your base, you are not safe yet, since the entity will try to pull you up once again which will activate a small mini game . (one mistake in the mini game, you’ll be pulled up instantly) Besides from that, it can also make its own docile entities which its main purpose is just to wreck havoc on your base. The attack of the Sky Dweller would happen for approximately 15 minutes, then it will vanish into thin air and never came back.
