How do u create a dialogue with a Gim
Hey! And welcome to the community! I’m kinda new too and getting to know this web.
Here’s how to make a dialogue,
Click/press the + icon and go to devices and get the device called "Sentry. Then, go to the Devices menu and type “barriers” and place it on the sentry like this
Make it invisible in the barrier device menu once you click on it. this is to make sure it doesn’t hurt you.
Then, get the pop-up device and the button device. Place the button right next to the sentry and make it invisible like this.
Wire the button to the Pop-up device. Button Pressed----> Open pop-up
Now click/press the Pop-up device and set it’s Header Text to: (Any name you want to put in.) Then for the content text, you can just type anything you want to make a story.
Finally, go to “Call to Action” category. (That’s where you talk.) Set it’s label to anything thing you want. to make a story. Then, duplicate another device cause once you click the action label, the sentry will say something else again. (If you tested the game.) Wire the first pop-up device to the second one. Primary call to action label----> open pop-up now test to make sure it works.
But do you have the (Season Ticket?)
Do to devices and type “Npc” and click on it and set it’s interaction to “Yes.”
Next, go to devices and get the dialogue device click on it and wire the NPC to the dialogue. Interacted with character-----> Open Dialogue
Click on the dialogue device and the Message means that the NPC is talking. Type anything you want to make a story.
Then, for the “Action #1” is where You talk type anything you want. Also.
Hope that helps! FZC

The non season ticket way is to add a sentry device or any visual prop, to represent your gim. If you use a sentry, make sure to set its team to the player team so it doesn’t attack them.
Put a Button Device directly over the visual prop. In its settings, make the button “invisible in Game” and change the button message to something like talk, or interact.
Add a popup device nearby, this will be the dialogue box, make the header to be the gims name, and the context text, as the dialogue they are saying.
Wire them by the button device, event: when button Pressed, and the pop-up device, action: Open pop-up. For a conversation with more than one line or player choices, you can add multiple popups.
In the first popups settings use the call to actions button feature, label the button as your first response: (okay).
Wire this first pop-up to a second pop-up, pop-up 1 event: When primary call to action clicked. Pop-up 2 action: Open pop-up.
Tell me if it works!!
