Yes, you can set the “brush size” to 3, if you select “Terrain” with the erasor.

Yes you can do as @mysz just said, but you can also select what you want to delete, like terrain, everthing, wires, etc.
If you set the terrain to a specific layer, you can drag to erase all terrain on that layer
Yeah there is a lot you can do with the deleting section of GKC.
