When I try to draw a new shape, it doesn’t show up. I can only make dots, and that is only some of the time.
Are you on mobile? If you are on mobile, then it will show up as dots… There is no way to fix it yet…

Same issue on the mobile client.
Basically trying to do any action e.g. drawing will break. Using the shape tools will not help either and the best you will get are dots. Use bluetooth to connect a mouse and maybe that will help.

Little discovery… if you draw with the circle tool, it will let you draw a little , just as dots however. That is the best way you can use the custom shapes tool on the mobile client. It is still not a good or viable way to draw, but it at least lets you tap the screen to make a singular dot that tapping enough can be used to form a shape with.
You can only draw dots using the circle tool on mobile.
