So, I’m making a shop for one of my minigames, but I don’t know what to use for a currency. My two best options are: energy and cash. But there’s some problems with these options.
Problems with using Energy
Easy to get
Able to have a lot of it.
However,
Balances my game out a tiny bit, by letting everyone have the upper hand
Problems with using Cash
Pay-to-win (And partly skill-to-win), as you can only get cash by getting knockouts and from winning other minigames.
Not everyone will be able to use the shop.
However,
Makes the stuff in the shop more rewarding, because cash would be hard to get
Yeah, I know, I’m just experimenting with some features for my map right now. I just added the cash-knockout thing earlier, I used to have it where cash was only obtainable through winning minigames, but you don’t earn that much.
Another Idea: You can trade in currency for other currency.
As energy is just so basic and is only used for one thing, (idk what to call it) maybe you can trade in currency in exchange for another currency.
You could also add crafting where if you get a bar and an energy bar, you get an energy bar.
