Yeah, you did not know that?
Counters could be used as a FOR condition in programming e.g.
For x from 1 to 10 :
Do action
Next X (X+1)
Is this correct?
Well they reach a set number, do their action then they can repeat or do more counting, but basically, yes.
Yep! You do need a triggering action, counters can’t trigger themselves, but if you set target to 1 then it works!
Hear me out: they should add property-able counters. Instead of setting a constant as a target, you could set a property as one!
Every device has their own specialtys!Glad you like counters!
So i did it right or no?
Uh… you kinda just summed up how counters work. Not really sure what you were trying to accomplish.
the understanding of them, so yeah, goal accomplished.
Well, I know that of course! I meant that satorugojo1 asked if they were the best prop.
That person asked what the best prop was.
Oh. That is kinda random and off-topic. It sounded like they asked if the counter was the best prop in context.
I meant as in what is the best prop because counters are undisputed king of devices.
Counters are one of my most used devices in my maps, and I agree with you, they’re really cool!
My bad Its 11:00 pm where I’m at I should probably get to bed.
which is better?
- Counters
- Triggers
Triggers have blocks lol.
Oh, by the way, just remembered that counters, at least aside from delay, can replicate triggers in almost every way. The only edge triggers have over counters is the fact that they have blocks and the fact that they allow for delay.
