Hello! I don’t make Guides often but when i do i try my best and i couldn’t find any Guides on THIS SPECIFIC topic I’m going off of so please put you feed back to tell me how to improve! Thanks.
Tips
Now this depends on what type you are making! Is it an escape game like Granny or is it a Hunt game like Dead by Daylight
Granny Type Game
- Different routes
- Random item spawns
- Fair for Runners and the Hunter
- Little details that make the game fun
- LORE
- Ability’s if you want to add them…
- Traps or things that might stop a player from escaping faster
- Not getting one tapped and taking damage instead of just getting K.O right away
- Make sure the game ENDS when all runners escape or get knocked out
DBD Type Game
- A set of objectives
- An escape OR time runs out
- When players finish a set of objective LOWER timer
- When Hunter knocks out a Runner ADD time to the timer
- LORE
- Be able to set knocked out players free (optional some ppl like this idk why…)
- Maze theme map or a scary facility type map
- Monster and or Runner ability’s
- Ways to heal
- Ability’s that can combo (EX: A stun + damage boost combo)
Tricks
Granny Type Game
- Try to make the game have hard to see areas
- Doors you can open a close freely
- Hiding spots are nice
- A storyline for LORE
- Cut scenes
- Hidden rooms
DBD Type Game
- Have more than one monster and or map to pick from
- Make sure all ability’s are balanced and not OP
- Add a chat? (Optional but would be really cool)
- Make sure objectives are clear and are not hard to find
This is still WIP and i will add things from time to time but those are just some basics i learned along the way. Most of this stuff is just things i find alot of ppl dont do or OVER do so just make sure you game dont fav the Hunter or the Runners
