Is there any way for me to be able to deactivate and active checkpoints in a platformer GKC map? I want the host to be able to choose whether or not to use checkpoints. I already have the buttons and stuff for the selecting, but I don’t know how to make the checkpoints activate and deactivate. Can ay of you help?
No, The Only Way Is to make A Barrier Activate and Deactivate
(I Have Tried Before)
Happy Confuzzlement!
Ok, thank you Kirbyking. If anyone else knows, please say it here, otherwise, in about 5 hours i will mark the solution.
erm actually
I claim that word I was the first one to use it (looking back in the search bar o.o)
anyways uh
I could’ve sworn there was something I did to
deactivate check points lemme double check after I do the thing above for personal reasons
NuH uH
but dang most of my old posts got deleted I realize now
couldn’t have given a reason ._.
but hehe I still claim it :3
I remember using that word way back at the beginning of 2024
moving on yeh barriers
just make em not visible and make the check points not visible either so there isn’t random barriers blocking a nice view
*sigh * I’ve used it for like 5-6 years.
@jax1 @Blackfox45666 please stay on topic. I don’t want anyone to get in trouble.
chill as long as we ain’t arguing we’re fine (and the convo’s already ended lol)
I don’t want to explain why a little
off topic stuff is good sometimes
so please don’t ping or reply me saying stay on topic if it’s just like the smalled amount of offtopic
it generally annoys me I’m not gonna explain the reason why it does because it’ll most likely cause an actual argument of which I don’t really have the energy for rn
Using an overlay thats only visible to the host, you could have 2 buttons for the host, 1 is activate and 2 is de activate. For the de-activate button, you could have it so when clicked it broadcasts on “de-activate” which de-activates checkpoints that de-activate on, well, “de-activate”. Same for the activate button except the checkpoints will activate on the overlays channel “activate”.
