A simple CPU has three main parts:
Instruction Memory
Runtime Memory
ALU
The ALU adds/subtracts/performs bitwise operations on bianary numbers
The runtime memory stores numbers (its RAM)
The instruction memory stores instrucitons, and steps through them one by one
