I’m making a tower difficulty chart, and I need a camera view for one part. However, if the player respawns, the camera view acts as if it isn’t there and shows the whole area. Is there a way to fix this, or should I just delete the checkpoint in that section so that players can’t respawn inside the camera view? (Also, is this because I am overlapping camera views?)
If a camera view overlaps the player can see the extent of both camera views, not sure if that helps.
I don’t think this is a bug though since my own platformer doesn’t do this with checkpoints in camera views.
@justatoaster That’s annoying. I’m trying to make it so that the players can’t see a part later on, but I also wanted a camera view running through the whole tower evenly. I guess I could create a new camera view for the entire tower after that point, and end the first one right before.
Is the player falling while respawning, causing you to see the whole area?
Or did I understand it wrong? Sorry if I did :0
@silly_alien No. The player exits the tower, but if they hit a laser (which likely will happen, I’ve tested it) and respawn the whole area is shown instead of just the small part I want it to show.
Have you tried removing the camera view and adding it back?
Or restarting your device?
sounds like a glitch
just deleting the device and getting a new one works like 95% of the time
no, not log out, get a new camera view
maybe try letting the player respawn outside the camera view, and letting them walk back in to continue the platformer
you need to click on the camera in the middle
sorta like the gim in a zone
@zappy_zaptos I’ve logged out and in numerous times, same thing happens. I can try getting out a new device.
@zappy_zaptos Can’t delete camera view. Won’t let me erase it.
Wdym it won’t let you erase it? Is your erase tool not on devices/everything?
Getting a new camera view device worked. Thanks!
