Ah- what you’re talking about is a speedboost. If you landed on a slope you could gain a lot of speed if you timed the jump properly. This used to be a really big part of speedrunning, but the bug was removed with the release of kickback.

It was a bug, but it’s been removed. If you’re interested and seeing what was possible with it, TheLazySquid and Horse made a tool assisted speedrun (basically a speedrun where you can slow down and rewind time while you’re making it, so that you can get perfect jumps and whatnot)

I once learned how to do the speed boost; I’m a little sad that they patched it because it was funny flying through the air
