Block Copy-Pasting Bug

If you have 2 devices with blocks and copy them, the blocks of the copies will change from the original to the blocks in the device that was selected last.

Let’s say I have 2 text devices and they both have an on wire pulse block. The one on the left has the block set text = "Hello," and the one on the right has the block set text = "world!" and I want to copy them. I highlight them, and I highlighted the left text device first, then the right one. When I copy them and place them down, the blocks in the right text device are correct, but now the block for the device on the left side is the same as the one on the right side! If you started on the right and went to the left, the device on the left side’s block will be the same as the one on the left side’s block!

Things get weirder when using different devices. We’re going to use the same example above, except with an item granter instead, still using on wire pulse blocks on both devices. Now if you try to copy them, you’ll find that the device you select last, the block will be gone! Crazy, huh?

Where the farmchain did I go???

So, I’ve been gone for a while, haven’t I? Apparently, there was a bunch of really technical topics, and BlackHole left??? I did not choose to leave by any means. It sorta just happened. I had a bug a while back, and when I asked how to fix it, someone said to clear my cache. This turned out to be a HORRIBLE idea. I couldn’t sign in to the forums anymore! It said my IP address looked sketchy or smn. But I have returned, and I hope I can help out everyone on the forums again! See you all soon! :yellow_heart:

This is a fascinating bug. What would happen if the last device selected didn’t have block code? Would all the devices not have block code? Would they keep the original code with no changes?

Just tested it, it deletes all of the code.

Wow. That’s the most intricate bug I’ve seen. I think this might just be something that Gimkit forgot to fix in their code, and if that’s the case, you could definitely email them at hello@gimkit.com.
