This is another post tied to the one I made earlier, “Ideas for a Spider-Man like game”, which you can still check out but back on topic, since I’m making a Spider-Man like game similar to the PlayStation ones, I’m probably going to need to have quick time events which if you don’t know what that is, it’s basically a moment in a game in which normally time slows down during that event/moment and you have to press a certain button at or for a certain amount of time and when doing it successfully the game returns to normal speed, any idea on how to do this in gimkit?
Probably with speed modifiers? I honestly don’t know if this is possible. If there’s animation, you can also slow that down.
Like, bullet time? Where you have an opportunity to aim?
Maybe have it have a slow animation where you are showed an arrow for one second, then you have to move in that direction in the next half second.
You could use a slingshot, so the player clicks the dots, and under the dots are props-
whwhen the props are broken, it goes to the next dot
It feels pretty possible with animations, since you don’t actually have to slow it down, you just have to make the part slower than the rest
Make an overlay appear during the QTE, and play a different animation on whether it was pressed in time or not
Pretty much yeah, just a quick event in which time slows for a bit.
