AI Integration Plausibility

Preferably I would not want to be alone on this and I am still tryna learn Javascript slightly
and It would be fun and a good lesson for me to work together with people

Ok so our plan should be

  • Mash some code in some other mundane place (Python, C#, JavaScript, Lua)
  • Mash that into Gimkit
  • Make a UI that can use that
  • Profit

We will add more features later on, we just need the basic code first.

We just need to set up a basic like box on the side of the screen

No fancy stuff needed…but how are we going to put AI responses into a text box without it going BOOOOM due to the text limit? Unless we do a check and split it up and stuff.

Wdym Text limit? Were making an HTML text box at best and it will then write a prompt

I was referring to a Gimkit text box, since the ā€˜Text’ device has a limit, as I noticed.
Anyways, I’m currently busy doing some Python work, so you might have to ask someone else.

Alright when you come back I meant a HTML box like WE create the box with code

With the right theory, you could have a huge amount of nodes and weights, you’d just be limited to character limits. But yes you’re right billions of nodes would still require tons of properties once we reach the character limit for each of them.

First off, I’m perfectly fine with the pings. I don’t have tag notifs on and I don’t check devices super often, so it’s nice to be alerted of something I might be interested in.

And interested in this am I! I of course see the technical reasons why this isn’t possible: way too many neurons would have to be used, and how would we even replicate it in the first place? Not to mention memory limit, and the worst of them all: 75 block limit.

But who gives a gim about that! We were born to wonder and dream, and theory is the law of my imagination! So theoretically speaking, why not? The simplest way for us to do this in GKC would be to set up a sort of dictionary, and be able to form words out of simple sentences. Honestly, this seems like more of a project for scratch instead of gkc (lists would come in handy), but I’m all for it!

I also caught a whiff about mods when I skimmed through the comments, and although I haven’t really explored with them personally, it’s a very intriguing (and much more possible) idea!

Hmm..
I probably think it’s not possible to make an AI built into Gimkit.

The game itself doesn’t allow you to hook up outside stuff like Groq or Replit into the game since it only lets you use block coding, devices, and wires, not APIs or custom HTML/JS. This is because you would need to simulate billions of code using properties, and since Gimkit only has a limit to 128 properties, it’s probably not possible. Gimkit doesn’t allow you to connect external programs or build custom UIs, so anything that relies on outside code wouldn’t work on your GKC map.

[hello fersion]

It could still be possible for a very simple AI, like an AI that takes two teams scores and thinks about who is more likely to win.
We could try translating code, but that would be even more of a headache than trying to code in C#.
But otherwise, as fersion said, we can’t connect to outside sources…unless mods?

There’s barely any mods for Gimkit Creative, though. I’d doubt that there’s one which attaches real coding into Gimkit Creative.

There’s a possible by-pass through this without outside access like Gimhook. It involves our good old friend concatenation, if we put all the weights into 1 property and all the nodes in another, we could wire each node with the weight. At least possible through grabbing whatever text is in between the separators like !.0,.9!.7,-.2!

For the millionth Time I meant the actual code that makes Gimkit even run
or whatever you guys think is best

So…the source code of gimkit?

Yes and or whatever yall are concocting but mostly I am assuming the idea of using the source code

I think this would have to be considered impossible due to copyright reasons. Gimkit has probably closed-source software thingy…though, I am unsure because I am on a mobile device. But even then using the source code to make an AI is incredibly difficult but not impossible.

Sorry, don’t ping me again I’m reading a good book at the moment and doing something.

No copyright as far as I know and as far as were not going for a profit with it

Ok lets determine our vote then if were staying in Gimkit Capabilities or go into its source code

  • Source code
  • Gimkits Capabilities
0 voters

I preferably was going for the source code but it’s y’all’s choice if you truly want to try to make it purely in Gimkit

If so I may need to make a seperate topic ._. called Possibly Gimkit AI Creation

does that mean that we could give sentries the AI to move around and actually be difficult to fight?

Like, maybe… recreate the whole of the supreme calamitas fight from Terraria’s Calamity Mod in gimkit? (god that would be painful)
