If you could make a… let’s say vending machine ring fast enough, that would resemble a pitch. By making it slower, you could have a lower pitch, and vise versa.
Unfortunately, you can’t make the vending machine ring fast enough to resemble a pitch that is easier to hear.
If you search up 10,000 BPM metronome, and click on a video with a metronome that fast, it doesn’t sound like a metronome at all. It just sounds like a sustained beep, but, as (if) it gets faster, the pitch gets higher.

But… in order to make music, we would need to figure out how to slow the ringing down.

What about something like a “binary” system, where if a value is zero, the ringing doesn’t begin, but if it’s one, the ring begins.
