I am making a game where part of it has you 3D print items. You grab a “USB drive” (blue keycard) and you can “slice” it with a crafting table for a green keycard. You can then grab “filament” (plastic bottle) and “3D print” an item with the “filament” and “sliced USB drive” with a crafting table. the 3D printer is on a black table. Is there any way to make it so the crafting table is not visible so you just walk up to the black table and 3D print things without having to see the crafting table?
So you’re saying trying to make the crafting table like walkthrough able?
Yes but mainly that it is not visible to players.
I don’t think you can. but there is an option to make it a farming plot, and the you can use a prop to cover it
I agree @Coolcaden26 but maybe be a little nicer?
hmmm… you right..
You’re asking for an invisible crafting table? Just cover it up with something
Making it a farming plot is an option I considered but then it says you are planting something. I might just have to do that or just make it a vending machine, but with a vending machine i could only have players use one item.
And walk through able… I don’t think this is possible tbh cause the crafting tables a device
If I cover it up with something I can’t access it.
you’re right… I don’t think I have anything I know to help..sorry..
Players don’t have to be able to walk through it maybe it is connected to a button and the actual crafting table is off to the side, or maybe it can just be under the black table I mentioned but then I can’t get close enough to use it
Don’t see how that was mean..?
Anyways, is there any way to remotely open the Crafting Table UI?
That’s what I need to figure out.
Yeah I don’t think that there is a way to open the crafting table UI remotely I tried to find a way
Okay I might just have to use a vending machine then but thank you all for trying to help it is very much appreciated.
you could do this, although it’s not a crafting table:
button (button pressed) -> item image (show item image)
(for seeing the prop get 3d printed)
button (button pressed) -> item granter (grant item)
(put -1 and [whatever you use to print] for the settings)
button (button pressed) -> wire repeater
(set a delay for the printing time)
wire repeater -> item granter (grant item)
(put 1 and [item you get] for the settings)
wire repeater -> item image (hide item image)
optional:
button (button pressed) -> wire repeater
wire repeater -> deactivate button
if you do this, do a different wire repeater than the one mentioned above this section
- Would that allow you to have to use multiple items?
- How would I even do that?
You could just place the crafting table under the a black barrier. (Also, welcome back!)
What do you want to put over it?
You can put a table or any prop to cover it up, then go to the props seting and trun or the collision, unless you do something else idk.
- yes, you can repeat the second and fourth ones for that
- wire the button to other devices multiple times
