I decided to redraw my oc (also fursona) Plugcat since it’s been (checks) 6 MONTHS SINCE I’VE DRAWN HER?! I should really draw her more. I went for a kidcore/weirdcore aesthetic with it, mainly cuz I really love the stuff associated with them. Anything that is off putting with bright colors and eyeballs is something I’ll love.

I’m an artist, mid barrier and prop artist, horrible with block and devices (my brain will not soak the info and learn these), lore creating expert, cosmic entity, destroyer of stars, and I suspect I have autism and ADHD (My parents won’t let me get tested until I’m an aduIt, which annoys the heck outta me).

Tools of the trade: I use iArtbook as my drawing app, all the styluses I own are broken so I use my finger to draw, I use mainly Kibbitzer and mellon_soup for human anatomy references, and I use pic-collage to gather references and add text to my art.

@Sea_Doodles My god, why do I understand where you’re coming from? I’d been monitoring this place for two months before I was able to j0in, and in that time, I saw people shift and forget how great creativity is and focus on technical stuff. It’s still happening. Not to say those don’t require some level of creativity and originality, but there will always be limits here. I had multiple contemplations on whether or not I should j0in, because I was scared. As a person who was (and still is) mid at barrier art, and not being able to learn devices or blockcode because my neurodivergence and general disinterest in those things, I was scared I wouldn’t be able to contribute, even with my art. There are people who say how thumbnails aren’t really contributions and we’d just be better off cutting the Art category. I was scared that people would shame me for not being able to contribute in the way they thought I should and how I am unable to understand technical stuff. I understand, heck, I know what you’re going through. Just know, from one stranger on the internet to another, I value your art and you.
