Steep slopes???
I’m lost. Like slope jumping or something else?

A kind of slope jump, used in hardcore parkour maps like YHMFT and ToDC[1], however, its angles are extremely steep, and normal slope jumping method doesn’t work on this kind of jump, does anyone know how to accomplish this jump?
(I once did it by accident by spamming the keys, but I’m still not sure how it works.)

man I wish gimpossible is here to save us

also bird sorry I forgot about that nickname lol
don’t eat me for this :)

I did that by spamming jump, i think its like a slope jump method (regaining ur double jump part) , but uhhh…you have to spam jump. Idk how it works actually but thats my “theory”

Ohhh those. Yeah I got up one in some wanna-be YHMFT platformer but I was just rage spamming and made it up.

Yeah no idea how to really get up those.

I think you have to double click for it to work. Like, I found it consistent to mash both the left arrow and the up key.

Yep,
funny how we can make the jump, and the most efficient method is:

MASH MASH MASH

Well, after testing this myself, I can confirm normal slope jumping does not work.

Double clicking actually might be the method.

Toxic, ur a genius

Yay I did it

this is so laggy :sob:
and normal screen record doesn’t work for some reason
yeah I am dumb at converting them into something that could be uploaded here

Everyone, I have found the foolproof way of doing it

1st. double jump, till you hit peak.
2. switch tabs,
3. switch back
4. double jump again.

it works like 55% of the time.
timing important.

Thanks to yoyo for helping.

The way I did it is actually quite simple (even easier than normal slope jumps in some ways):

First, jump on the slope, then, click the arrow key that is the same direction as the slope, make sure you are sticking with the slope the whole time, then jump again, repeat the process.

 erm sir that’s a spelling mistake

Edit: I can finally beat ToDC :D

intresting, I want to try that out.

Steep slope jump section added!

What is the most ideal angle for Steep SJRs?

My guess is the most extreme angle that is still possible is the one shown in the guide, but the answer to your question would probably depend on what you mean by ‘ideal’.

I mean what would be the most consistent/easy angle.

Personally 85 degrees[1] are pretty good for steep slope jumps.

I will use ToDC as an example, this jump at the beginning of Floor 9 is approximately 85 degrees:

and this jump in Floor 10.

uhhh

Yeah, I don’t really understand how to do steep slope jumps. I tried mashing up and left arrow keys, client freezing, and the guide method.

I found a not very difficult jump that I have not seen anywhere before, I may be wrong and maybe someone has already done it before.

This is what it looks like, at first it will seem that it is really easy and you can do it in 2-3 attempts, but I wasted several unsuccessful shots and I had to rerecord each time.

a very interesting jump and kinda difficult, although it may not seem so

the difficulty is that you don’t have space to jump and gain speed, that’s why it’s difficult

Honestly, if I had to name it, i’d call it a swing jump. I haven’t seen that anywhere either.
wait that might be a wraparound, seems similar.
