Just read the title, i mean which is harder to learn, i’ve barely use GKC, but i’m an advanced scratcher.
Why is this a guide?
Gimkit Creative is probably harder for beginners, but not for advanced learners. But as you go on learning, you probably will get it.
For scratch, Idk, because somehow, their website is ran by a potato farm.
But for my experience, I don’t think Gimkit Creative isn’t really THAT hard, since you could build an actual platformer or top down game easily instead of using a starter platformer engine in scratch.
i forgor summary
I think scratch is a bit harder.
idk how that happened i literally made it when i was in the help page.
this is kinda off topic?
anyways, depends on what you want to make.
oh yeah, the server runs on a public bathroom
but the past week it’s been doing that
Gimkit Creative has a lot more limitations, and the block code in Gimkit isn’t as good as the block code in Scratch, but you don’t really have to dwell on those limits if you’re just trying to make a normal game. Which is harder is really up to you, but I find Scratch to be a lot more challenging when trying to make a big game. Sometimes, due to Gimkit limitations, it may be very difficult when trying to simplify/optimize your game, but most good games don’t really need extremely complex mechanics. Also, this post is off-topic, so please mark a solution to close it (ignoring the fact that you commented on my acc about my off-topic post from 5 months ago lol).
I think Gimkit is harder (the block coding) than Scratch. While I do use Scratch before, it is boring. I use Gimkit but I do not use blocks. I do not know if this post is allowed though but this is a creative section
What is scratch btw?
Both gimkit creative, and Scratch are hard, if you don’t know how to use them
Scratch has block code, but has more freedom and less paying. I suggest Gimkit Creative first to start coding journey.
I started on python…
Is Python free or needs premium?
Ok! Thanks! I think I basically saw Python ads on youtube last time lol. Let’s go back on topic
You can also go to this if you are unable to download it. Just as a warning it does not save your progress. You have to upload a code file to continue. I also use replit.
Scratch.
My opinion, of course.
scratch is more flexible, but gimkit is better when it comes to platformers.
gimkit is easier because everything basic is made for you (spawning in, energy, etc)
but scratch is better if you know how to use it like if you want to tinker with the spawning in or you just hate Gimkit mechanics.
Gimkit is better.
scratch l
if you don’t agree feel free to leave these forums
THIS IS OFF TOPIC
tbh, scratch is better with the community and such, but ig gimkit is for noobs.
