What whould be the best terrain combo for a cave

I’m trying to make a cave and I’m trying to find the best terrain to put on the floor and walls “aka 3d terrain”

Dynamic Stone vs stone brick?

I want them to blend in nicely, like dark scrap is too dark. im using space rock and speckled grey

Here are some 3D combos:

Space rock (upper) with Mud (lower)
Grass/Snowy Grass/Dry Grass/Purple Grass (upper) with Space rock (lower)

in a cave, like ALL rock

not that its bad just something more…
“ROCKY”

the space rock and mud isn’t bad

In top down or platform?

hm, interesting. 3D terrain inside cave?

top down
not platforming

Use layers to give it a nice [1] EDGE

does dynamic stone not work?

no just that the border looks weird, it doesn’t blend…

whilst im not that much of a 3d terrain expert some tips are:

  1. use layers
  2. use different terrain for the walls (you can use the same for the top of walls as the floor just keep them on different layers)
3.dont make the entire wall a wall (bc not being able to go behind a 3d wall is kind of weird)
  3. experiment (you don’t have to use speckled gray/space rock maybe try the other gray things)
  4. use barriers (only if you want gims to go up and down)(yes this will require devices/blocks)
  5. DONT USE DYNAMIC BLOCKS (they cant merge and can be destroyed/placed)

that’s the reason why you don’t use dynamic blocks.

also you could try mixing up the terrain like having the floor become wooden to simulate a bridge or have it become darker as you go deeper or you could make a chasm by putting space/moving space on layer 1 to make it look deep
