An obstacle course to a rare ore could work like high risk high reward

Maybe add some refreshable quests(like mine in xx for xx for a price)
you could add dynamic Cooper or Dimond and have them pick up a gadget then mine there way through
Maybe you could add like laser pits or some kind of obstacle course to do.
ok so I got a cool idea so basically what happens is that like in prodigy evil cystrals turn people and things into evil things and like its becomes a infection and then when you defeat a boss or smth I guess its revealed that like never truly wanted to do that or smth and like sad moments happen, another idea is that there is also an evil crystal group that basically worships the crystals as a creator of life and will do anything to please it
