I made most of the map, I’ve made a pretty good thumbnail, and I checked for any possible mistakes in my map but so far: 0 plays(1 play actually because I played my own).
I see all these maps trending and when I play them, I don’t understand why they are so popular.
Can someone please give suggestions on what people do to make maps more played?
Not sure if this post is offtopic, but I’m also not sure why this wouldn’t be offtopic. Here’s my thoughts:
1-The quality of game. I think the quality of game plays a big part in which ones get on trending (obviously). So make sure your game is of the best quality as you can make it, add in all the little details!
2-The thumbnail. I think gimkitters (including myself) are more likely to click on/play a game if the thumbnail is of good quality. I personally automatically think “Oh, this is a high quality thumbnail! Must be a good game!” when I see a cool looking thumbnail (so maybe try making a unique one or make a thumbnail request (I see you already have this one down though)
3-Uniqueness. Try to come up with/create a unique game we may not have ever seen before! Gimmkitters are more likely to click on a game with a unique objective/setting. So maybe try and come up with a title that stands out and has a unique description!
4-Time of day. A game is more likely to get way more plays if posted around 4-5pm rather than 11-12pm at night (because discovery opens at 4, people are just getting home from school, and way more people are awake/active).
These are just my thoughts, I’m sure some games are trending by pure luck too!

Got it! This one is a big one, thanks!

yeah, I tried making different thumbnails all the time for my maps.

I’ll try this one! Thanks!

That explains some of it I guess… I’ll try publishing my map during active times!
Thanks!
