Thumbnail help for a platformer bedwars map, (NOT A REQUEST)

Hey, a bit new to making Gimkit games, and I need a thumbnail. (BUT I WANT TO DO IT MYSELF). I do not want to waste time. I’m just asking how to make Gimkit thumbnails (like tips)
A few questions I have:

  • Where do you get high-quality Gim Kit characters?
  • Should you or shouldn’t you include the full map (if the map is big), or do you make it like a graphic?
  • What software is the best to use?
  • What process do you use to make a Gimkit thumbnail?
  • Is there a Discord for this?
  • How much time does it take?

  1. Use the Gimkit Wiki.
  2. Depends. You could use a portion of the map as a background or draw a version of it.
  3. Kleki, Photopea, and Sketchbook are all good options. Google can help with this.
  4. Most people will sketch a rough draft out, then proceed to color and shade it. Again, watching some digital art youtube videos might help.
  5. There’s a Gimkit Discord, which you can find on their website, and yeah, there are artists on it.
  6. Depends on the thumbnail but anywherre from 20min to a couple hours or more.

But this forum is for specifically building in Gimkit Creative (so this is off topic), so I’m going to lock the thread but leave it listed in case anyone else has a similar question.
