I don’t think anyone is alive right now. They’re all asleep. But yes.

I’m alive, I’ll see what I can do.

A tl3 spam flag can auto unlist tl0 topics

Is it a glitch in my end, or are there a TON of random posts that have solutions by the same person and are all just copy pasted?!

I believe this has already been handled.

Now, if you don’t mind, here’s my two cents:
Making more topics addressing the bots isn’t providing anything positive to the forums, so I really don’t see a reason to keep doing it.

The bots are a problem, but they’re not one we can reasonably put an end to at all, so all you should do is flag them, don’t reply, and move along.
Maybe mention a leader if it’s getting desperate.

Okay, I should probably close this now. Sorry folks.
Feel free to mention me in any bot post that hasn’t already been dealt with.

Team Gimkit has to absolutely do something about these bots, otherwise we are headed for another scenario like October 25.

The illusion that the bot spam has ever ended is false. Y’all have seen the occasional bot get through spamming utter gibberish such as “Ufhd go urjfgeiebd” or something. You want to know why? Because Team Gimkit still has not implemented a CAPTCHA verification system, despite the idea receiving decent popularity on the forums and being directly emailed to them several times, so there is still no way to actually tell if a new account is a human or a bot until they make a post.

As shown by Pharlain’s message regarding the bots, the only action Team Gimkit took was banning the creation of new accounts and then later unbanning it, assuming to some degree that the bot problem had subsided. Because of tuis, singular measure in place right now to deal with the bots is Blackhole’s expansion of the list of censored words, and its weakness is showing. Multiple bots have started adding periods within censored words, such as “h.elpline” and “c.ustomer”.

Go email Team Gimkit. It’s been over a month since the bots first attacked, yet for some reason, Team Gimkit has not implemented a CAPTCHA system.

No, this situation was never handled properly and it won’t until Team Gimkit implements a CAPTCHA system.

An update for forums users:
Inky took my reply as meaning that I’m saying we have bots permanently fixed/solved, which genuinely won’t ever be the case if we don’t advocate for some form of change. I do recommend emailing team gimkit to ask for capchas to be implemented on the fourms, as that does genuinely seem to be the best solution we have for the long term.

To that extent, I should clarify my post was simply our solution for the short term.

Hmmm. Scratch has a captcha but they still get spambots daily.
