Terrain layering
Let’s say I’m trying to make an island for my game, and this is what I have so far:
Not very pleasing, is it?
What should I do then? Well, ask yourself these questions:
- What terrain do you want to use overall?
- 2.5d?
- What is the setting?
These questions can all be answered! If you want it to be 2.5d for a pleasing look you can follow these steps:
Outline the terrain with grass and dirt and put them on different layers:
now add the dirt under the grass to make it look neat.
Your result!
now THATS 2.5d!
you can use this method in many ways!
Uses for terrain
Terrain can be used for popping colors, creating cities, and lots of others!
Terrain is one of the most useful things in gimkit creative!
I mean, look at your map! it’s full of terrain!
even if you don’t add any, there is background terrain!
