I need ideas for a Stranger Things inspired game. I have some ideas but more of them would be amazing.

  • smth kinda like gimkit one way out where you have to escape the upside down

  • a platformer with the same goal as before

I don’t have anything else, pls help :sob:

Maybe you could use the Shadeborn gim (I don’t know how its spelled) to represent the mind flayer/shadow monster on a sentry as a mini boss.

Season 1

  • A boy named Will Byers disappears mysteriously.
  • His friends search for him and meet a strange girl with telekinetic powers named Eleven (El), who escaped from a secret government lab.
  • The kids discover that Will is trapped in the Upside Down, a dark mirror world full of monsters.
  • With Eleven’s help, they rescue Will, but Eleven sacrifices herself—though she later survives.

Season 2

  • Will struggles with visions of the Upside Down and a giant creature called the Mind Flayer.
  • Eleven lives in hiding with Sheriff Hopper.
  • The Mind Flayer starts to possess Will and attempts to invade the real world.
  • The group fights back and Eleven closes the gate between worlds.

Season 3

  • The kids enjoy summer at the new Starcourt Mall—but a secret Russian lab underneath the mall reopens the gate.
  • The Mind Flayer takes control of townspeople to form a monstrous body.
  • Hopper seemingly unalives while destroying the machine, and Eleven loses her powers.
  • The Byers family and Eleven move away from Hawkins.

Season 4

  • Hopper is revealed to be alive, imprisoned in a Russian facility.
  • In Hawkins, a new evil from the Upside Down appears: Vecna, a psychic monster connected to Eleven’s past.
  • Eleven learns she accidentally created the first gateway to the Upside Down when she banished Vecna there years earlier.
  • The group battles Vecna but fails to stop him fully—his actions start merging the Upside Down with Hawkins.

Alien plants would be good for upside-down growth if you tint them black.

El’s powers are probably impossible to recreate (well atleast a good version of them)

Its kinda hard to make good jumpscares in gkc, but maybe like a segment of the map is the demogorgon hunting you?

For the map, are you planning on doing a bunch of the plotline, or plan on making this a side story (I think that’s what it’s called when regarding tv shows?) with different people?

Im probably gonna try to make a side story since the plot of stranger things is too huge and complicated for gimkit

Maybe the story for your game could be that you’re a squad (or solo member) of one of those governments and are sent to collect samples and investigate/try to close stuff involving the portals to the upside down.
