Research - Moving Objects, Sentries and Mechanics

Hello, everyone, so the first thing I’m going to say is a question - is it possible to move anything in gimkit creative? And I mean not make something disappear and appear somewhere else but actually move. The Gimkit team, even though countless times asked, hasn’t included that feature. The fact that this topic hasn’t been discussed in the correct parameters is raising questions. Doesn’t everyone want a short and memory - efficient way of moving anything and everything on the map? If Gimkit hasn’t added it, we, the people who play it, need to think more clearly about the topic -
KEY QUESTIONS:
Can any object, even a device, be moved in the process of a game?
What is the best way to make something move exept animation and real movement.

IDEAS:
There’s something I call ‘trilation’ but it’s very unexplored
Use blocks + inspect?
You actually can! Wires & channels broadcast information, and since everything in gimkit is also information, it is in theory possible to move objects
GOOD NEWS:
Trilation is now possible in theory! BUT IT IS ONLY IN THEORY AND CAN’T BE ACTUALLY MADE

If you mean ingame, no. You cannot move objects in a set path or anthing like that

I know, that’s why I made this post

You can absolutely try and code mods to make your objects move, but that would only be locally.

The forum doesn’t exactly support posting mods on here though soo… good luck.

Really the only way is through animation.

???

That’s why it’s research, and there is a way that

But I’m still in the process

‘tri’ lation
Tri means 3

Also there’s bilation, but that is not memory efficent and takes up 1/2 of the map memory to move an object 1 time. And it’s theoretical

Can you explain how you exactly do “trilation” and “bilation”? Cause i never heard of them

I never technically did it, I just jotted down some ideas and came up with those. Those are possible though

Can you uh. Explain those ideas so we know what you are talking about?

  • if you don;t want to actually move something and not use animation either but you still want to move something… then what are you asking for?
  • what’s the point of moving a device in a game? if you wanted to move, say, a trigger, you could just activate a trigger someplace else on the map
  • please explain what trilation and bilation are

It’s a theoretical concept that involves 3 zones. It is used to transplace information. How? It combines a RNG with animation. It also uses 3 triggers that click randomly, connected with an object that will appear on some triggers and disappear on some. If the memory limit is full, the object will show movement, approximately 0.001 - 0.01 gimkit meters. It uses the use of using rendering for gimkit

so it’s

  • 3 triggers that trigger randomly
  • aforementioned trigger setup will appear with some triggers and disappear on some
  • if you are out of memory, the object will move

if that’s correct, then i would like to ask how you’re going to detect the amount of memory you have

The detector of memory is automatically shown when the memory is above 75%

It will move a little, a move not to be taken in reality.

oh, i thought you meant during the game

But since it requires so much memory to even work, its probably even worse than making a new prop, because:

  1. You can only make it move a little from its original location
  2. You never said about controlling where its going, so im assuming you can’t
  3. By the time your memory is entirely full, the game is just gonna crash every once in a while
