Props not loading on game start after copy-paste

I have an enemy composed of two custom shapes and eight props. I am creating an animation for that enemy, so I need to copy and paste everything to a different position. I copied EVERYTHING at once, props and custom shapes, so here is what happened:

  • The first enemy frame was working fine.
  • The enemy frames’ props that I copied and pasted did not appear when I started the game, even though visible on game start was on. The custom shapes appeared fine.

I tested to see if the amount of props loading on the screen was causing it [1], and that was not the case.

editing mode photo vs how it looks in-game:

Copying and pasting one at a time works fine, its just that the mass paste doesn’t work for me.

  1. I tested it by putting 50 props in one area, and they all loaded fine ↩︎

Same problem here. Sometimes when I copy and paste stuff, some of the stuff doesn’t load. Prolly because of meh parents’ old ‘puter. Or my basement’s Wi-Fi. How old is yours?

This isn’t a computer issue. The one I’m using is only a year old.

Hmm…maybe re-copy ‘n paste?

Have you tried checking the layers? Or, it could be a computer issue like @CommanderGOAT Said.

How would this be a layers issue? Some of the props are bigger than the custom images themselves. Even if they were going behind them, you could see the edges of the props.

It’s probably Gimkit Creative just being Gimkit Creative :sob:

If you’re mass-copy pasting, its probably just not thinking right :skull:

That’s the best thing I can think of because YOU’RE doing nothing wrong.

Check your WiFi. Might be the problem.

I think its just a saving bug. This happened to me too, but they were permanently deleted after refreshing.

I don’t know if this will help, but I had an issue a little like this.
I guess the prop (or barrier, I don’t remember) just decided not to work when I placed it, and so that one, (and each one’s I copied from that) showed in editing but not in the game. I could only solve that problem by replacing it entirely, and the ones I copied from the old one :<.

Ye those props just didn’t exist, retrying typiccally works for me

Caden is right, GKC is just like that. Mass copy-pasting, especially if the props are off-screen, will bug out, and will leave things behind. It just really is was it is.

Honestly, yeah.
If you still have problems with this, then just email Gimkit.

is it something to do with “active on start”?

I don’t think so… its looks like an obby so it should be active on game start.

That won’t do much unless I can figure out how to reproduce it. It might be random server errors idk

maybe mark a solution then?

I would like to add that this happens to me alot mainly if you copy multiple of the same prop but all you need to do is delete the broken ones a replace them
