Hello folks.
I’ve been working on one of my maps for quite a while, but when I checked on it today, I noticed that all of the props and devices had disappeared (everything is fine when I opened it up yesterday, and I saved the game before I left). Yes, I’ve tried waiting it out, double-checking my internet connection, and even reloading the map, but nothing seems to work, I emailed hello@gimkit.com as well but they didn’t respond. The only thing now left in the map is terrain, with everything else gone mysteriously without a trait, I’m not sure what happened, but it’s really frustrating because I worked on this map for so long, has anyone else encountered this problem?
I suspect this is a bug because the memory usage hasn’t changed at all since I checked it yesterday, meaning that the props and devices were possibly still there, but all of them have disappeared.
Also, please stay on-topic, do not post anything that is not relevant to this topic, and also read the whole thing carefully before you post anything, thanks a lot.
But the issue is that all the props and devices disappeared, how am I supposed to get rid of them and then come back to check when there’s nothing in my map?
The exact same thing happened to @NotYoyo recently. All I can say is that this definitely seems to be a problem with Gimkit. If the memory didn’t go down then hopefully they’re still there somehow. Did something trigger this or did you just open your map and they weren’t there?
Gimkit’s usually pretty busy. I’d wait it out if I were you and you’ll probably get a response sometime in the next week or so.
Have you tried dragging over where things have been?
Also there are glitches that can move props erratically to other areas. All of your props might’ve just been moved an insane amount of distance
Literally every prop and device I placed were gone and I tried to play the game to see if my overlays still existed and they were not there either although I didn’t mind much about it because it was a really bad map anyway
Hm, thanks for the information, it seems like we’re dealing with the same issue, hopefully they will fix it soon, for now, I think all we can do is to message them on hello@gimkit.com and wait patiently.
If you remember where the props were you can check to see if they have collision even though you can’t see them. (To see if this is just a visual glitch)
How many props and devices do you have before they all mysteriously disappear ( i thinking there was so much props and devices that it didn’t load the visuals)
