So, I want destructible props that wall off an area, and you must use the pixelator to deplete their health to send a blastball through. You need to answer questions to afford to put it up. But the blastballs bounce off the prop when it isn’t even there. Players and projectiles interact fine with it, but the ball is bouncing off of them when they haven’t even been bought yet. What do I do about this?
I’m gonna try this on GKC myself and see if it’s true
Why is this necessary? There is a wall of damageable props. The blastball is bouncing off of it when it shouldn’t.
Wait I tried it, IT’S TRUE!!
Should we report this to the Gimkit officials or something?
I agree this is the same for me.
I’m surprised nobody has seen this glitch before.
Ya go ahead you can report this to Gimkit , its an actuall glitch that doesn’t get fixed by refreshing so its fine to report it.
If it’s an actual bug, perhaps you could use barriers?
Well I want them to be destructible. I don’t want permanent walls across the entire field.
How do you use barriers?
This bug probably will keep a lot of good maps from working unless it’s removed.
It was probably just recently created from the new update.
Right… this is quite a problem…
I could try to find a workaround
You know, this glitch could actually be useful in the sense that the barriers only have collision for blastballs, and maybe that could be used as a mechanic for something.
I tried for a work around , but using no collision props that is wired to a barrier.(Prop destroyed - Deactivate barrier) But the no collision prop allow projectiles through it and it doesn’t take any damage
I think they should just add a thing that lets you decide what it has collision for: players, blastballs, projectiles, etc. That would add a lot
is this a platformer or a top down?
Yeah I unfortunately can’t seem to find a SIMPLE workaround, unless of course there’s some crazy block code to make this work. Perhaps a wall of dormant sentries can “protect” a barrier, and once all of them are knocked out, the barrier is removed.
Do you have the prop activated on game start?
If so, the Blastball will indeed bounce off the thing when it isn’t even there.
If I’m wrong, report this issue to hello@gimkit.com, refresh and start again, or try something a little differently. Use a different prop or something.
Its top down , I don’t think theirs a ball device in platformer.
@California_Love
I made the prop not visible during beginning of game and then had a trigger that activated the prop after 2 second of the game starting. I then destroyed the prop and then hit the ball it still bounces. I may have interpreted your post wrongly in terms of what you mean. But if I understood and tested it correctly , then I think what you said might be wrong.
Uh, I have a “game start” channel that a lifecycle device activates when the game starts, and it despawns the walls, along other things like despawning sentries and teleporting the teams to their zones
