Replying to a topic brings it back to the top. Hence, BUMPING it back to the top.

Wait Im still confused…
A bump is when you bring an important or helpful guide back up to the top. There are no specific rules about bumping but try to not bump a guide that’s already been bumped 1-2 day(s) ago.

When you reply to a topic, you push it all the way back to the top, where everyone can see it again, the definition of BUMP is where the word comes in, for example, if I BUMP a topic 7 days ago, it will reappear to everyone, it will be at the top of the topic list again.
The topic list is what you see when you first open the forum by default, also within exiting the topic.
